Everybody needs sleep right? How many of you don't get enough of it?
Lately, I have been struggling to go to sleep. Sleeping to me has almost become like a bothersome act. I lie in bed
exhausted, my eyelids heavy, but after I turn out the lights my brain
continues to churn. And by trying to make myself wind down, I actually
make it worse for myself.

How do you sleep? Do you get enough of it? If not, what stops you from getting a good night sleep? Or should we just keep calm and carry on.

great subject...I wish I were one of those people who need only 4 or 5 hrs of sleep a night! I think yoga and reading before bed help me calm down, also going to bed when I'm tired, not trying to force it and using lavender essential oil or a lavender sachet. My sister has problems with insomnia though, which ruins the next day in terms of mood and energy levels. I suggested trying to compensate with a short nap each day.
ReplyDeleteHi Laura, thank you for your comment. I wish lavender and natural sleep remedies like that could help me at the moment. I know my lack of sleep is psychological and based on numerous changes and challenges in my life at the moment. I know the feeling the next day after a lack of sleep. You feel only partly there the next day, almost zombyish. I hope your sister finds a solution!
